Story
UNIT 1 was founded in 2017 in the snow-sports space. After closing their first investment round with the Adidas Family on 2017, U1 successfully launched their first product on 2019: Soundshield – a tech enabled ski & snowboard helmet. Shortly after that, the Pandemic caused all ski resorts worldwide to close.
UNIT 1 reacted quickly and pivoted into Urban Mobility with FARO, an Urban Smart Helmet for commuters. FARO quickly gained traction with $960k in pre-orders and was launched into the market on 2022. Shortly after U1 partnered up with Stromer to connect a smart helmet to an e-bike for the first time ever, creating a connected ecosystem unlike anything else on the market and a whole new level of safety for the rider.
